Nikniesz... - You fade...

O moim lęku i wygodnictwie i przymykaniu oczu.

As we all, I've got something that I should be ashamed of. My life isn't organised, I don't have much time for my friends and family and I know that sometimes it hurts somebody. As long as it is me, who is in pain, it is ok: I asked for it, right? But when this situation is a source of sadness or pain of the others I feel sad, sorry and ashamed. One of the affected people is my grandma, the oldest member of our family. It is so hard to explain how many feelings I have for her: starting with these warm and bright ones to those darker, full of fear and anticipation... and will to forget about the hard truth: she is fading, we loose a bit of her everyday - and I am still not brave enough to accept it and watch it happen.
The journal page below is about this fear - my closed eyes and living in comfort of forgetting. I should apologise for that not only now, but every single day when I'm not close to her.

Journal 17 - Nikniesz - You fade

Nikniesz - You fade

Journaling: Nikniesz, bledniesz, a mnie ciagle brakuje odwagi, aby w to uwierzyć.
You disappear, you fade and I am still not brave enough to belive in it.

What a beautiful Grandmother. What a beautiful layout to show her off.

Does she live near? Just take the time and make her a priority. She will truly appreciate it and so will you.

If she does not live near, send her a small letter - words from your heart are a shrine of love in her eyes.

Hugs.

i love your work. i have seen on the tattered angels blog but didnt really think about looking up your blog til now.Wow an extraordinary body of work i love your style. As to your grandmother be brave later there will be nothing left but regrets. I lost my beloved grandfather 6 months ago but we started losing him to dementia 10 years ago. Take the time and be brave it is worth it.
